BARRY COUNTY, MI – Construction of Thornapple Kellogg’s new 32,500-square-foot learning center is officially underway.
Thornapple Kellogg Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony for the $10.3 million facility Wednesday, May 12. The building is being funded through a $42.8 million school improvement bond approved by voters in November 2019.
The new learning center will house the 3- and 4-year-old preschool programs, Great Start Readiness Preschool, Early Childhood Special Education and child care. It will be almost double the size of the current learning center, which former superintendent Robert Blitchok previously said was at capacity in 2019.
Dan Remenap, superintendent of Thornapple Kellogg, thanked the community Wednesday for its support of the district through the tax bond.
