Emergency responders and natural resources staff are striving to free a young moose from a swimming pool in Garson.

Jesse Oshell, deputy chief with Greater Sudbury Fire Services, said the yearling moose was able to stand on the bottom with its upper body out of the water, but the animal was agitated due to its situation and the activity around it.
